Cynical
diversity management is the application of management technologies,
structures and systems with the sole purpose of FRUSTRATING
GENUINE EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY WHILST MAINTAINING A DISCRIMINATORY
STATUS QUO AND GRABBING BILLION DOLLAR CONTRACTS.
Effective
diversity management that DELIVERS equality of opportunity
to its stakeholders is a lie in most organisations. The over-represented
group is entrenched and going nowhere soon, the diversity
management is a web of deception.
It is largely
a corrupt system of tokenism, underfunding, high-profile exploitation
of small measures, exclusion of genuine intent, talking shops,
suppressing measures, intimidation, denial and lots of money
for the over-represented group and their peers.. Under-represented
groups need not apply.
Take a quick
look in your mind's eye at any organisation you know or work
for or from which you receive services or benefits. Look at
the composition of the organisational pyramid and see the
power centres and where different "Types" of people
are concentrated. Is the organisation you thinking of one
where opportunity for advancement is enabled in equal measure
to all relevant parties?
Effective
Diversity Management is about managing DIFFERENCE and ELLIMINATING
UNLAWFUL DISCRIMINATION.
Cynical
Diversity Management is about SYSTEMATICALLY FRUSTRATING EQUALITY
OF OPPORTUNITY WHILST LOOKING GOOD AND MAKING A LOT OF MONEY.
